There is no account and no sign-in. Foxtro sends one thing off the device: anonymous usage statistics, and only if you leave them on.
Your favourite airports and the last report fetched for each, your aircraft profiles for weight and balance, and your settings. All of it lives on your device.
When you open a station or refresh, the app requests that station's METAR and TAF from the Aviation Weather Center at aviationweather.gov, a US government service. That request carries the station codes and your IP address, as any web request does, and nothing else. The bundled station list is searched on the device, so searching sends nothing.
Anonymous usage statistics, through Mixpanel, to see which tools get used and whether reports decode, so the next version fixes the right things. The whole list is: the app being opened, which onboarding pages were seen and whether they were skipped, which calculator produced a result (the tool's name, never the numbers), that a report was decoded (whether it was a METAR or a TAF and whether it was live or pasted, never the station or its contents), that a favourite was added (how many you now have, never which), the purchase screen being shown and where from, whether a purchase succeeded, and a restore being run. Alongside those we send the app version, whether the device is an iPhone or an iPad, and a random identifier for the install.
That is all of it. We do not collect your name, your email, an account, an advertising identifier, your location, the airports you search or favourite, your aircraft, or anything you typed. There is nothing to link the statistics to a person, and we do not try.
IP-based location is switched off at the source, so events arrive without a region attached, and the data is held on Mixpanel's EU servers.
Settings, under Privacy: Share anonymous usage data. Turn it off and nothing is sent at all. The app works exactly the same either way.
Foxtro Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple. Apple tells the app whether it is active. We never see your payment details and receive no personal information from the transaction.
Deleting the app removes everything Foxtro has stored on the device. For the anonymous usage statistics, email the address below with the approximate date you installed the app and they will be deleted from Mixpanel.
Foxtro is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.
If a future version begins collecting anything beyond the list above, this page will say so before that version ships, and the App Store privacy label will be updated to match it.
